Precipitating Artworks

Sort of describes the weather over the last couple of days. Heavy showers and then clearing to glorious sunshine. A lush tropical garden is on the way.
Today is a studio day working on four paintings. I find this way stops me from overworking sections and lots of artists do the same thing. One however is nearing the end so a new one needs to be started. The featured image has been downloaded from Pinterest, a great place to find inspiration.

Feeding the Ducks

Today is a catch up day. Pressing the linen is the top job. The reward a couple of hours in the studio painting.
Yesterday we went to linton and had lunch at the Fountaine Inn. Regular readers know it is a favourite here at Grange Fell. It was lovely to see the baby ducks too.

It has been a busy day
all  veggies picked, pickled or eaten. Fruit gathered ready for the jam pot and chickens laying a plenty. Time for bed and a good book to end a long and busy day.

Today there are herbs drying in the oven. This is my first attempt at making teabags for the bath as well as herb sachets for cupboards and wardrobes. It might not work but as I was trimming the herb garden this morning it seemed rude not to try.
This picture of a lovely bedroom off Pinterest has inspired me to recreate the look in my own room. It must be lovely to wake up on a gloomy winters day to this tutti fruity colour scheme.

Good Days

It has been very continental at Grange Fell this week with guests from Holland, Germany and Australia. It is lovely to view our world through the eyes of visitors and I can confirm  Grange Fell is very, very pretty. We have comfy beds, our breakfasts are lipsmackingly good, and the pub across the road is excellent too.
It's all good.
